Before you submit an entry, please review our privacy policy.
The Diary Project is a non-profit organization founded in 1995. The Diary Project website for which you are submitting material is a forum for peers to support peers. It is monitored by a group of teen volunteers who are overseen by Diary Project staff. It is not professional therapy or counseling. If things are feeling overwhelming in your life, we encourage you to seek out an adult that you trust (teacher, friend¼s parents¼, relative, school counselor, psychologist, medical doctor, clergy, etc.) for guidance and support.
The Diary Project Code of Ethics for Participants:
I hereby agree that my entry, comment or suggestion:
- Is lawful;
- Is truthful;
- Is submitted in a spirit of goodwill;
- Supports the safe, positive and inclusive tone of this site community;
- Has a non-judgmental, helpful tone.
Important Note:
We are committed to printing your entries just as you write them without editing or censorship however:
- Excessive use of vulgar language and explicit profanity may be deemed
offensive and could lead to your comments being permanently deleted from
this site so please respect this standard.
- Any entry, comment, suggestion or information submitted to this site
becomes the property of The Diary Project and may be used in existing or
later invented mediums without payment and without duration limit.
Your submission to the site means that you have agreed to all of the above.
Just some advice:
- If you use your real name - just use a first name.
- Don't give out alot of details about yourself ie: what you look like,
where you live, name of your school, phone number - you get it ... use good
judgement.
- Don't agree to meet someone you meet on the web site unless accompanied
by an adult or older friend, initially.
