    Question of the Week
    July 24, 1999

If there was a television show especially for teens, that was based on the Diary Project, what should it be called? (Any name except The Diary Project.) And, what kinds of things would you like to see on the show? Thanks.

But otherwise, I do have some really personal stuff...so, maybe there shouldn't be a show...my stuff {an other peoples' too} is toooo secret to let the public know about...butmaybe you can create a penpal show instead! It's one of a kind, and it's kinda thoughtful too. =*

I think it's a good idea that you might actually make it into a television show! It should be called "Teen Life" and the people on this site could mail in things or you could use the things we already have here. =)

I dont' have an idea for a title, just as long as it doesn't sound like something out of a teen magazine. BUT, I wanted to say, a show based on these entries could be really good....OR, it could be really stupid. Be careful

My intelligent and profound amiga Alice mentioned a name I see worthy of your TV show. Voices of Youth, perhaps would be a name to consider. But if you want my two cents, a television show takes away from the personality of the Diary Project. This site is unique and I don't want to see it end up on PBS. This site is capable of more. Please reconsider if a T.V. show is what you are really looking for. Love the site! Keep it up!

The site wouldn't be the tv show. The tv show would just have similar components - kids talking about whatever is going on for them - individually, in classrooms. They might have the opoprtunity to ask each other or an expert questions....

A good name would be "REAL LIFE" or maybe "TEEN 2 TEEN" Pick like a diffrent person every week and interveiw them. Let people get to know them. On it they could talk about their life, their goals, their fears, stuff like that. I think that alot of people would watch it. Just because they make a television show does not mean it would ruin the web site. You could still come here and talk like we always do. The t.v. show would be a way of getting to know someone better.

I agree with Alice and Soul. A TV show? Come on, that would suck, to put it bluntly. I mean, this site is for ANONYMOUS teenagers to do whatever, vent their problems, get advice, etc. If you made this site public, it would just be taken over. Completely. Sounds like you just want it to be more public and recognized, when already so many people come here. Like Alice said, TV is competition.

I don't believe that there should be a show based on Diaryproject. This site is wonderful because you can voice your opinion and no one will ever know who you are. You can voice your your feelings and problems. A tv show wouldn't work. I like the other titles that others have given if there were to be a show.
    Soul

I don't think there SHOULD be a TV show. I like the diary project because it's personal.....you add cameras and ratings and it would be a form of entertainment, howevermuch it may deal with teens' problems, TV is competetive. I like things the way they are now. But if there must be a TV show (I wouldn't watch it), it should be called, "Young Voices."
    Alice 'N Wonder

I don't know what it should be called. Maybe something like "Young Memoires", or "The Diary Show". About what should be on it--Have cameras and stuff go to young peoples hometowns and film their stories. Also have like a time on the show where young people acn read their poetry or sing their song or read their thoughts. A show where "REAL" teens are telling their stories--not teens who have nesicarily done something outstanding or weird--just normal people.

Think about it, though. This wouldn't rally be our site anymore. It would be all changed and public and taken over by mostrous teenagers with bad breath. lol I don't know where that came from....but think about it, it really would change so much, and wouldn't be our website anymore. I don't know.

As far as a name- well I just don't know! But as far as what you want to have on it, I think you'd want teenagers and other people taling about thier lives. Talking about concerns, dreams, hopes, fears. You'd probably want different kids on at different times, and a place (this website for one) where kids can get in cotact with the people on the show if they want to offer advice, comfort or share a similar expierence. Gena- life is so much bigger than that. Go out and expierence it.

I completely disagree with Gena, that would be a show most people would not be interested in watching. Not to be rude, I hopw I don't come off that way, but we need a show for both genders, and about more than who's crushing on who. We can get that kind of advice from a magazine. This show should deal with ALL teen problems, in general.

i think the show should be called MY LIFE id like it to talk about girls that likke someone who doesnt like them back & what should they do about it
