PEER PRESURE!!! teens go through this EVERYDAY and it is different for everybody. sometimes its sex, drugs, "fitting in", etc. etc. ALL of us go through it. IF ANYBODY COULD COMMENT ON THIS ISSUE (PEER PRESURE) PLEASE EMAIL ME @- erikaguay7700@hotmail.com . This would be very helpful! Thanks a bunch!

being a young adult is the biggest issue. Think about it "YOUNG ADULT"... that sounds like the biggest oxymoron I've ever heard. And they wonder why we're so difficult. Our title is a contradiction.

I agree with Joe. Peer Pressure is the important issue facing teens today. We may only be teenagers but we deal with adult issues eveyday. Sex, drugs, violence...all that...

I think trying to be your own person is quite an issue, it basically sums up everything...peer pressure, drugs, sex, relationships, friendships, parents...If you are your own person and not someone everyone else wants you to me, you dont have to worry quite as much...because YOU are YOU.

To be honest, there are two things... drugs, and sex. Drugs are dangerous... and sex is as well. There are many things that can happen as a result of using and doing them. And they are not good.

I think that you can sum it up in 3 catogory's. 1)relationships 2)their body's appearance 3)drugs Being a teenager is hard. You feel like no one in the world understands exactly how you feel, so no one can help. It's really tough.

FOR THE AVERAGE TEENAGER THERE ARE SOO MANY MORE ISSUES AND PRESSURES THAN THERE WERE FOR OUR PARENTS. IT IS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO PINPOINT THE NO.1 ISSUE, I THINK THAT TEENS TODAY ARE FORCED TO FACE COUNTLESS "ADULT" ISSUES PLUS TONS OF PETTY ISSUES LIKE SELF ESTEEM AND ALL THAT. IN MY OPINION THE PEOPLE WHO ARE LIKE 40 NOW..COULDN'T HANDLE BEING A TEEN IN THE WORLD TODAY

I think that there are so many issues in our lives that we think are important. Infact there are too many to count or even name. Too many of them are pointless and shouldn't even matter as much as they do. We should be worrying about our future and our mother earth.

Life in general is just a big issue that we have to deal with. Am I right?

Direction. Many of us have it, and many of us also lack it. It's an all-encompassing issue with teenagers worldwide, i think. We all deal with it when determining our futures, but also w/ everyday decisions. Direction, or the lack or it, determines how we live our lives. It involves motivations, morals, and so much more, but I think that I also feel that it involves everything that we think, feel and do(not to freak anybody out or anything). So much of our lives comes down to the direction that we pointed ourselves in and chose to take, or followed another person down without thought, and stopped to rethink later on. Some teenagers of today have more options than others, but our direction and intent in life remains in our own control, reliant on our own emotions and will. What teenagers choose to do in the world, where we will direct ourselves and our energies, I feel is one of the most important issues facing teenagers today.

Anger. How we deal with our anger determines what our society is like. We are not the victims of the society we live in, we are the composers. If anger is not expressed in healthy ways, teenagers turn to vilence, alcohol, drugs, suicide, etc. We all have anger which coincides w/depression, and the world would be a better place if we dealt with it better. Instead of holding our anger inside, we need to get it out physically (like w/sports) or creatively (art or writing) or transform our anger into something good by helping out our community. So many teenagers think they are victims, but they are the attackers. We all are. It's easy to blame people around you, the media, and this metaphorical thing called 'society.' It is harder to see that society means US, that we are in control of our actions.

I personaly think that the most important issue facing us,teenagers, today is "fitting in". I guess it's mostly peer pressure. Most teens, whether they admit it or not, are always wanting to "fit in" with the "popular" kids or the "coolest" clique. Some teens will do almost anything to "fit in". To be honest that's only one of the many things that's facing teens this day and age. There are numorous issues that are important for us teens that we have to face every day, but i feel that peer pressure is the, by far, biggest one of them all, but that may be just me. buh-bye =o) ~as always~, Jen-E

I think that keeping a sense of self identity in a world where so many things, media and such, are there to try and infulence teenagers is the most important issue facing teenagers today. It seems that more and more teenagers are allowing themselves to be infulenced by the media and t.v. and music and they're loosing track of who the REALLY are because they're trying too hard to copy the immages that are being thrown at them constantly.

THE most important? The planet: we don't have issues on a dead planet; we won't have lives...If the rest of life is ill, we will be to, and much of it is, and many of us are...
