Comment on whether or not profanity or insulting comments should be censored from the site.

For the most part I beg to differ with the rest of the people submitted their oppinion, you see, IMHO I think if we take the language that way it won't be able to grow and it will become a sad mimick of a communication mean. I don't mean 'Read Shakespeare and talk like that', but think this twice: if you swear all of the time think where have all those years of English in class have gone...

to a degree comments should be overlooked. people chose to bring their problems onto the internet and should not post their diary enteries if they object to other people commenting on them. but in certain cases messages shoudl be deleted. those who come here with suicidal thoughts need comfort and understanding. i read a comment where someone told a person considering suicide that it was ok. although it may have been a joke or what they honestly believed, that message could send someone over the edge because of their unpredictable behavior and depression...pez246@hotmail.com

people need to let their anger out... censoring their thoughts or opinions on something would be like blocking out thier feelings. (well, not that bad, but close.) if i'm mad i'll want everyone to know it and censoring me out won't work. definite no-no.

I don't think so. This site is all about people saying how they feel about different things, and sometimes people's feelings can't be expressed without using "swear words."

I think that profanity is ok. Right now I think that some people are getting ridiculous with it and it needs to stop. But we all gotta just let it roll off our backs sometimes. I think that it should stay one. We have to deal with it. If people have to say something I feel that here is the plavce where is it need to be said. Mostly everyone here would understand.

i dont think profanity or insulting comments should be censored. people have to get used to hurtful comments and learn to ignore them. for the most part everyone on here isnt hurtful at all. sometimes though you have to be hurtful to get through to somebody. and as for profanity, everyone cusses, so whats the big deal?

I think profanity is ok, as long as it's not rediculous to the point where every other word is a swear word. Everybody has heard profanity, we all know the words. And insulting comments are good, because we need to tell people the truth, this site should be real.
