Question of the Week
November 12, 2000
What do you think about third party candidates, such as Ralph Nader of the Green Party and Pat Buchanan of the Reform Party?
|
Dear Diary, I have to write my entries in here from now on becuase I dont have the average boy-problem entries. Diaryproject decided that MY feelings were not important so they did not post my entries. This has happened to me many times and I am sick of it. I am sorry my entries are not about having a crush or being sad. I write what i normally write in my diary- the events of my day, my fears, and my hopes. Is that not GOOD ENOUGH for you peopel? STOP CENSORSHIP. ALL people deserve to be expressed here, dont delete entries that people have spent time writing and thinking about! Scott
Buchanan is just like hitler in a way, he is trying to blame all the countries problems on a certain group, or a few of them. Gore and Bush are fine, Nader should have won but he didn't stand a chance. OK OK everyone, PRESIDENT isn't THAT big of an office, it's CONGRESS we must worry about, they make the laws!! :p Anna - e1toggle@cs.com
Nader should have been president because he cares about what's good for the people of the country rather than the two that we're all fighting about now. If Nader would have been Pres. the world would have been a better place. willow
Yeah, I agree with Nader but he's a drone! People say Gore's lifeless, look at Nader; He's a frickin' robot! Bad Adviceman
i think that Nader deserved president. he's done a lot more for the sake of this country than Bush has, that's for damn sure, & we all know Bush will be President no thanx to the no good Constitution that allows the Government to take the matter at hand into the House of Rep's & let them pick for President whoever they want... of course they'll pick the Republican, B/C HE HAS MONEY!!! i think that Gore is the lesser of the 2 evils, but they are both so tainted. everyone in politics basically is tho... TAINTED! Nader cares about the ppl & does things for the ppl, he doesn't do it just to put a show on, & even he has made promises & actually kept them by accomplishing them - something which hasn't happened w/ anyone who makes promises to this country in decades. Nadar is truly a beautiful spirit and he believes in freedom, which this state still doesn't have. Angel
I think all candidates should be allowed the same kind of financial aid and debate opportunities. We need to get away from the 2-party thing.. then maybe by this time four years from now we'll actually know who is going to be our next president. carlita
This is (supposedly) a democracy, so I think it is necessairy to give all candidates equal platforms within the public arena. The republican's and Dem's speak for the corporate, mainstream structure, so we can't expect to here from candidates that speak for 'the people' until we reform our media coverage and the big business sponsorship of things like DEBATES! It's horrible, the choke hold they have...! Mytie
I feel sorry for them, because they don't stand a chance against gore and bush, and that's pretty sad. People don't even want to hear what they have to say. They don't get as much media coverage, either. I've never seen nader or buchanan on tv or anywhere, hardly ever heard anything about them. All I ever hear is gore this and bush that. blah blah blah. Casey
i think that ralph nader is amazing. he's so accurate with his ideas. we have to protect the constitution. i think that it's about time that someone stood up to the republicans and democrats and said hey you guys are the same i dont want to be the third party i wanna be the second, right now there's only one and it's fighting itself. he rocks for standing up to them and getting notice, but i woulda been even happier if he had been a she. jo
first of all, i don't think Ralph Nader should qualify 4 president...he looks stoned have of the time, and i think he's just not president material...and Pat Buchanan is just a racist little punk that doesn't even deserve FAKE votes....AL GORE KICKS!!!!!!! Someone
Ralph Nader is ok; I agree with some things he supports. However, I think that Pat Buchanan is full of himself just because people accidentally voted for him in Florida. Morgan
