What features would you like to see
added or changed on the DP?

Okay here's a question for you: Why do you screen so carefully the posts but not the replys to the posts??? There are some really horrible things said to people in refrences to their problems and the things that they do. Is that helping any??? UMM I think not, if your going to screen anything screen the replys to the posts

Okay, I was here like a week ago and commented on this question. I've been here like every day since and NOTHING has changed not even this question. Don't ask the question and then not do anything about it. Im sick of looking at this question. I get sick of looking at all of the questions that stay up ther for weeks at a time. Everyone has had a lot of useful, helpful comments, requests and suggestions to this question. Now it's been up for about two weeks and it's about time that you do somthing about it rather than just sitting there

hey, have you noticed that this question has been up for more than a week already, maybe you should change it so that it is question of every two weeks, i don't know. you wanted our insight and i'm saying that you should change it to that or something else.

Could you make it to where we can get to the poll and the question of the week from other pages than just the homepage, so we dopn't have to go back to the homepage to get to them? SOunds lazy, yeah, but some people have terribly slow computers like myself and it's just a waste of time.

I think when you submit an entry it should come up right away. sometimes people need advice quick about say a date and by the time the entries shows up they've already been on the date. And i have some old entries i would like to check again but i can't find them. You should make something where you type in your pen name and all your entries come up.

I like the suggestions that people have been posting, and I think it would be awesome to have previous-next buttons after the entries

Hmmmm.....I would like to see the DP actually make these suggestions come into being. Like that search engine thing - I found the Feedback option and suggested that....oh, about a year ago when I came back and wanted to find my old entries. I've also suggested tons of other things, as these other people have. So PLEASE, if you're asking to know, then listen to us and make it happen.

i really don't like how i have to wait for a period of time before my entries show up. i remember a couple of years ago, i could write my entry and right after i submitted it, it was there. that way i was able to get advice fast, not wait a day wondering if my entry will even show up. i don't like the layout very much, the colors should be changed. i agree with the idea of having a search engine where you can type in a person's name to find all of the entries written by that person, i think that would be great, it would make things much easier for me. thanks.

I was shocked when I came here and discovered above all other things there is not a chat room. I think a chat room would be a great way for teens to vent their feelings to others who care to listen or can relate to their feelings. I would like to request you sincerely consider creating one. i think it would be better if the profanity thing wasn't so strict. You can't even say Hell without saying he11 or he||.. i think that's taking it a little too far... there should also be more sections, like a section for just sex, a section for just love, & yeah, i think that the whole picture thing is a good idea & the search engine thing. don't really like the yellow layout either, i think maybe you should change the background once a month... that would be kewl... bye now

Some features that i would like to see added or changed in DP is the layout. what's with all the yellow? not that i have anything against yellow. i like it, but don't you think you have a bit too much yellow in here?? i think you need to let us have our freedom of speech. no more censoring(sp?). pls. no. more. censoring. i used to love this place but now it totally sucks ass w/o the chat. it was a place where someone could get one-on-one help w/ whomever is in there so they don't have to wait millions of days before ppl reply to their message or have to wait for their diary entry to be put up on the main page. i liked the homepage you had before it was changed to this purple/yellow freakshow. i don't mean to sound bad, i'm just trying to state the truth as i see it. and you know what else?? POETRY SHOULD BE LISTED UNDER POETRY. i've already given up trying to read the entries because i know that half of them are poetry. frankly, this site was a hell of a lot better 3 years ago.

like the others have said there needs to be a search engine. i like to read entrys from casey and kelsey and some others so it would be nice to be able to type in their name and see the entries they have posted. and it takes forever for the entrys to come up. what if someone needs help right then. to bad b/c they have to wait sometimes days for them to come up. and sometimes they don't even show up for no reason!

On the 'Entry Submitted' page, it says, "Entries that are vulgar...and entries that *should be posted on the boards will not be posted." Could you please change the *SHOULD be posted, to SHOULD NOT be posted?

I think it would be cool if ya'll added a chatroom to this website. And I really wish there was a search engine so I could find my entries and my friends easily.

You need to change the quetson and the polls more often, I dont come here all that often anymore because NOTHING ever changes, the questions are all the same all of the time. also, you need different catagorys, I agree with the Suicide one also maybe a GLBT one. I also agree that something needs to be changed so that you can find old posts without having to sort thought all of them maybe have them dated or with the persons name next to them\

Get rid of the censorbot. If I want to say something about Hell, as in the place, on a religion entry, then I should be able to without having to type it as "he||" or "he.ll". And You know, people can say shyt or sh.it just as easily as they can say shit, and it means the same thing. I think you should lighten up on that kind of stuff. After all, is the site to push morals on us, or is it a place for teens to communicate? And why does the poll stay up for so long? it seems like some of them are up there for weeks. I agree with the people below who said we need a Suicide category, and a Sex category too. But I thknk the other categories should stay how they are. Oh, and you guys said the chat room would be back last September. Guess what? It's June of 2000, and I don't see any chat room.

DIFFERENT CATEGORIES! THESE ONES ARE SO LAME! Really, do we need a separate categorie for racism??? Isn't discrimination enough?? Why shouldnt all disciminations be treated equally?? Get Categories for SUICIDE, SEX, and ANGER OR HATE, and also you should also stop being so picky and fussy about the trivial profanity that all of us hear every day and concentrate on getting some pychatrists to visit this site to give their opinions too

i think you should have a search engine type thing. for like, say you want to find someone who is going through a really bad break-up just like you, so you can type in the words"i still love him", or something like that to find an entry with the subject your looking for. that would be a good idea.

You need to make it different colors and get a new dang layout! This whole color scheme and everything has been like this for what, the beggining? It needs to change. I get tired of seeing everything the same way. The front page needs to be more organized and you need to add more color. Also, a search would be nice.

Well you NEED to get rid of that logo! That is about the most retarded thing I've EVER seen! Aside from that...I dunno...it's good..jamison's idea about being able to find all entry's by one person is good; cause I wrote some a LONG time ago that I can't find.
