Aspergers
by AS, 18

April 30, 2010

I think I'm aspergers.

I took an online test and I scored high. I have a good reason to think I'm aspergers. I have difficulties communicating with people, and not because I have any sort of social anxiety. I asked my mother about any peculiarities in my childhood, and she said that I was a completely normal child. However, I did watch videos for when I was a kid at age 4 or 5 and I never even spoke in any of them. That should be odd. I also remember that I generally had problems with speech and I still do until now.

I also pace a lot, and sometimes I could forget that I'm in a public place and suddenly start pacing in the supermarket back and forth until I retrieve consciousness of what I was doing. These do not proof in any way that I have aspergers. However, all of my academic problems seem to be described by aspergers.

I decided eventually that even if I did not have aspergers, I'd still want to learn about it because I might be able to figure out solutions to my academic problems by reading more on how aspergers themselves cope with college.

There are actually a lot of Aspergers cases that somehow go undiagnosed for a long time.

why don't you follow this simple 3 steps? 1st, remind happy and enjoyable things happened to you in last 12 hours.

and you guys can guess how this story ends: he went to the doctor and it just turned out to be the flu. So the moral of the story is: Wear a condom, coz he actually got syphillis from having sex with that nympho-chick. Ugh, nasty!

alone in that house, he stressed himself out so hard thinking he had HIV that he got a stress-rash, which was also consistent with the onset HIV symptoms. He became convinced he had AIDS, was preparing to take out his trust-fund and travel the world, called his dad (who he hadnt talked to in years) and made peace with his family.

you can freak yourself out a lot by WEB MDing your symptoms; case in point, my homie beat those on this slutty girl with no rubber, and he was left alone in his brothers house babysitting his dogs for a week, got the flu, and his flu systems were consistent with some 1-in-a-million immediate HIV onset disorder.

if you had asbergers a) u prolly wouldn't be typing this and b) you would know it coz ur rents would have had u diagnosed when you weren't on the same developmental level as your peers @ age 5

Autism is a spectrum with aspergers on the low end of it. There is a possibility that you have certain autistic characteristics, but it's likely that if you were significantly autistic it would have been picked up on much earlier in your life--it would have probably hindered you greatly without treatment early on.

I think it's great that you want to find out more about it. I would go to a doctor and share your concers with them. They can run test and tell you for sure if you have it or not. It is much better to know for sure than to continue guessing or wondering if you have it.
